The Central Board of Film Certification has been reconstituted with 18 new members appointed for a three-year term, including actors Pankaj Tripathi, Preity Zinta, Suniel Shetty, Manoj Joshi, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Pallavi Joshi, Rupali Ganguly, filmmaker Priyadarshan and Grammy-winning musician Ricky Kej.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced the new panel under Section 3(1) of the Cinematograph Act, 1952.
Other appointees include Vinod Anupam, Abhishek Jain, Hansraj Hans, Supriya Yarlagadda, Yatindra Mishra, Neela Madhab Panda, Nishigandha Wad, Waman Kendre and Ramesh Patange.
The reshuffle was overdue as terms of several members of the previous 12-member board constituted in 2017 had lapsed. The new panel has taken effect immediately.
