Rakesh Trehan, a businessman and social media influencer from Amritsar, Punjab, popularly known as ‘Raja D King’, has made an unusual announcement. He has announced plans to organise an ‘iPhone Langar’, where people will be given iPhones for free.
Discussions are underway to distribute up to 1,000 iPhones at the event, which will be held in Chandigarh and Mohali on September 22. In a video message, Trehan said the distribution will take place live in front of the media and the public.
Only the iPhone 17 and newer models will be given away, while the iPhone 16 has been excluded from the event. He claimed that 100 iPhone 17 units have already been ordered and discussions are underway to arrange up to 1,000 phones.
Initially, the plan was to distribute 100 iPhones in Chandigarh and 200 in Mohali.
