Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much talked about film Inshallah is in headlines again after 7 years. The film was announced in 2019 with Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles and created a lot of buzz in the industry.
However after Salman Khan left the project, the film was shelved and never went on floors. Later Bhansali and Alia worked together in Gangubai Kathiawadi and now they are working together again in Love And War which will release next year. Now as per a Mid-Day report, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt are in talks to revive Inshallah.
The title will remain the same but the story will be rewritten to suit present times. Bhansali reportedly wants to lock the script first before finalising the cast. If it happens, this will be the third collaboration of Alia and Bhansali. Earlier in April 2026 there were reports that Shah Rukh Khan could be part of Inshallah but there was no official confirmation.
As per reports, Bhansali may now consider a younger face for the male lead as the earlier script was written keeping Salman Khan in mind.
