The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) extended its high-profile agitation into a celebration in Bengaluru, marking YouTuber Dhruv Rathee’s birthday right after his address at Freedom Park. Rathee had earlier joined CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and actor Prakash Raj at the demonstration, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged discrepancies in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The event blended civil society protest with a surprise birthday celebration for the digital commentator, drawing enthusiastic crowds and extensive media coverage. Organizers stated that the ongoing agitations will continue to push for electoral accountability and transparency before moving their protests to New Delhi.
