Actor Prakash Raj joins CJP protest against SIR at Bengaluru’s Freedom Park!

Actor-activist Prakash Raj joined the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and civil society groups at Bengaluru’s Freedom Park to protest the controversial Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Demanding an immediate halt and complete scrapping of the exercise, Raj alleged that voter deletions directly target the poor, Adivasis, and minorities, describing the move as an assault on citizen dignity.

Addressing the large gathering alongside CJP founder Abhijit Dipke and YouTuber Dhruv Rathee, Raj accused Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of acting under political pressure. Protestors raised vocal slogans calling for institutional accountability and the CEC’s resignation amid heightened police deployment across the venue.
