Prashant Kishor calls for reforms in Election Commission, says “Gyanesh Kumar should step down”!

Weighing in on the escalating row over the Election Commission, Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor has called for sweeping structural reforms within the poll body, explicitly stating that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar should step down. Speaking to reporters in Darbhanga, Kishor alleged that the poll panel has openly favored the ruling party over the past seven to eight years, severely damaging public trust and institutional credibility.

Kishor emphasized that the crisis goes beyond a single individual, pointing out flaws in how commissioners are appointed and how voter rolls are managed. He demanded greater transparency, including making Form 17 public prior to counting day, as the INDIA bloc continues its protests in New Delhi over alleged electoral irregularities.
