“I will not travel on a train that has cockroaches in it”, says Anand Dubey

Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT) has suffered a major setback, with the party’s national spokesperson, Anand Dubey, resigning from his post and primary membership on Monday. He reportedly disagreed with the party’s stance on the Election Commission and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. After resigning, he said, “I cannot work with the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP).” Dubey said he had been troubled for several months and made the decision to leave the party with a heavy heart.

Speaking about his future political plans, Dubey said, “I will not travel on a train that has cockroaches in it. I will join a party when I find the right platform.” He added that Sharjeel Imam, Umar Khalid and Dhruv Rathee were not his role models; instead, he looked up to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Veer Savarkar.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) has been campaigning on the SIR issue and demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Aditya Thackeray also organised a rally in Mumbai over the same issue.
