Five years after Puneeth Rajkumar’s death, his doctor, Dr Ramana Rao, has recalled the Kannada superstar’s final hours, revealing that the actor had tried kickboxing for the first time on the day he collapsed in October 2021. According to the doctor, Puneeth had worked out for around 1.5 hours before arriving at his clinic sweating profusely and feeling exhausted.
Dr Rao said an ECG showed signs of strain, prompting him to administer medication and arrange an immediate hospital transfer. Puneeth was still speaking during the journey, but his heart reportedly stopped beating just a minute before he reached the hospital. Despite the medical team’s efforts, the 46-year-old actor could not be revived, leaving his family, fans and the Kannada film industry devastated.
