Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar met Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami at the CM residence in Dehradun on Sunday.CM Dhami shared photos on X and said they had a detailed discussion on the state’s new film policy, immense possibilities of film production and developing Uttarakhand as a major film destination in the country.
Akshay is currently shooting in Uttarakhand — in Dehradun, Mussoorie and Rishikesh — for Anees Bazmee’s upcoming film also starring Raashi Khanna and Vidya Balan. He was spotted shooting a bike sequence at Singtoli Bridge in Rishikesh.
CM said Uttarakhand’s natural beauty, rich cultural heritage and favourable film policy are making it a preferred location for filmmakers. The focus is also on creating employment opportunities for local youth through tourism, hotels, transport and local artists.
