Anti-SIR Protest: AISA’s Neha Bora Refuses to Sign Delhi Police Peace Bond After High Court Setback

AISA activist Neha Bora has refused to sign a peace bond sought by Delhi Police in connection with protests against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, despite a setback in the Delhi High Court.

Bora maintained that AISA would not sign the bond, amid tensions surrounding demonstrations against the Election Commission’s voter list revision exercise.

The controversy comes against the backdrop of protests at Jantar Mantar, where demonstrators have raised concerns about the SIR process and questioned the Election Commission under Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

The dispute has brought renewed attention to the restrictions imposed on protesters and the legal measures being used by authorities to maintain public order during demonstrations.
