Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has offered to share India’s battle-tested counter-terrorism expertise with ASEAN nations and their dialogue partners, citing Operation Sindoor as an example of India’s response to state-sponsored terrorism.
Addressing the 13th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus) in Cebu, Philippines, Singh said India’s counter-terrorism strategies were developed through decades of confronting cross-border security challenges.
He highlighted Operation Sindoor, stating that India had dismantled terrorist infrastructure and demonstrated its firm stance against state-sponsored terrorism.
Singh proposed strengthening regional security through joint military exercises, intelligence sharing and capacity-building programmes.
The Defence Minister also emphasised maritime security, freedom of navigation and cooperation to maintain peace and stability across the Indo-Pacific region.
