The Tamil Nadu Government has announced the Vetri Magalir Goat Rearing Scheme, providing 5 free goats to 30,000 eligible women across the state with 100% government subsidy!
Total Budget: ₹109.75 Crore
Key Highlights:
🔹 30,000 women will benefit across Tamil Nadu.
🔹 Each beneficiary will receive 5 goats (Goats or Sheep).
🔹 100% subsidy – No payment required from beneficiaries.
🔹 Estimated cost per beneficiary: ₹36,600.
Who Can Benefit?
Priority will be given to economically vulnerable rural women, including:
Widows
Destitute women
Transgender persons
Women with disabilities
Eligible applicants must be between 18 and 60 years old, reside in rural areas, and have no government employee in their family.
