Newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone Sujit Kumar visited Anantnag and chaired a security and crime review meeting with senior police officers. The meeting focused on the overall security situation, crime trends, ongoing investigations, preventive measures and police operations across the district.
During the review, Kumar stressed the need to strengthen the security grid and maintain close coordination among field formations. He also called for timely action against criminal and anti-social elements and heightened vigilance to maintain peace and public safety in the district.
Senior officers briefed him on the prevailing situation and measures being taken to strengthen policing and security arrangements in Anantnag.
