South Africa To Extradite 6 Nigerians for Duping 100+ Women of $6.2 Million

South Africa is set to extradite six Nigerian nationals to the US for alleged online romance scams and cyber fraud.According to the elite Hawks police unit, the accused are members of the notorious Black Axe crime syndicate and defrauded over 100 women, including pensioners and businesspeople, of more than 100 million rand ($6.2 million).

The six were arrested in South Africa in 2021 and are wanted by the FBI for wire fraud and money laundering.

They will be handed over to FBI and US Secret Service officials at Cape Town airport.Black Axe, which started as a student fraternity in the 1970s, is now a violent mafia-style gang linked to trafficking, murder and internet fraud.
