Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka Temple, Chittoor

The Vigraha is gradually increasing in size. The ornaments and the original kavacham made decades ago no longer fit the deity.

The temple was originally built by Kulothunga Chola I (11th century CE) and later expanded by the Vijayanagara rulers.

A unique tradition is the “Satya Pramanam” (Oath Ceremony), where people take an oath before the deity to resolve disputes, believing no one can lie in His divine presence.

Kanipakam Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka Temple is one of the most revered Ganesha temples in India. It is located in Kanipakam village, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, about 11 km from Chittoor city.
