Sri Varahi Devi, one of the powerful Sapta Matrikas (Seven Mother Goddesses) and a fierce manifestation of Shakti.
Varahi is traditionally depicted with a boar’s (Varaha) face, representing the power of Varaha.
She is associated with protection, victory over negative forces, courage and spiritual strength.
Traditional depictions may show her carrying weapons such as the danda, chakra, sword or other ayudhas, depending on the temple tradition.
The buffalo is traditionally associated with Varahi in several iconographic traditions.
Varahi is particularly revered within Sri Vidya and Shakta traditions, where she is regarded as a powerful guardian of the Divine Mother.
The Devi is beautifully covered with an elaborate pink-flower/lotus decoration, gold ornaments and a magnificent golden prabhavali.
