DK Shivakumar’s Warning to Bengaluru IT Firms after ‘No Jobs for Kannada Speakers’

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has warned Bengaluru’s IT firms of government action if they are found deliberately sidelining Kannadiga candidates during recruitment. He said the government would protect the rights, dignity and employment opportunities of local people.
The warning follows a viral video alleging that some companies favour candidates who speak Telugu and Tamil over Kannada speakers. The allegations have reignited debate over local employment opportunities in Bengaluru’s technology sector.
