Delhi Police said a 17-year-old girl reported an alleged r*pe on a bus while travelling from Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, to Noida.
The incident was reported at Kashmiri Gate police station after the girl was allegedly dropped on Ring Road, outside the area where the incident occurred.
DCP North District Niharika Bhatt said police immediately arranged medical examination and registered a case without delaying action over jurisdiction. With the help of CCTV footage, the bus was traced and two accused, identified as the driver and conductor, were arrested within hours. The investigation remains underway, police said.
