September is an exciting month for smartphone enthusiasts every year, and this time is no different. Sales of the iPhone 18 Pro have begun in India, with long queues and huge crowds gathering outside Apple Stores from the very first day of the launch.
At the Apple Store inside DLF Mall of India in Noida, a large number of people arrived early in the morning to buy the iPhone 18 Pro. Speaking to the media, a man from Delhi said he had come to purchase the phone as a gift for his wife. She had asked for the iPhone 18 Pro in Burgundy.
Interestingly, the man revealed that he had sold his gold to buy the phone. He said his wife had never used an iPhone before and he wanted to gift her a new one. When asked why he decided to buy the iPhone 18 Pro, he said he did not have enough money earlier, but he has the money now. Whether he would have the money in the future was a separate matter, he said, which is why he decided to buy the phone for his wife now.
The man openly confirmed that he sold gold to purchase the iPhone 18 Pro, saying, “I sold the gold to buy this.” The excitement around the iPhone 18 Pro was not limited to people buying it for themselves.
Gurditta Singh from Punjab also travelled to Noida with a friend to buy the iPhone 18 Pro for his girlfriend. The two had been waiting outside the Apple Store since around 6 am.
According to Gurditta Singh, they are getting married soon and he wanted to gift his girlfriend an iPhone 18 Pro. He also planned to buy an iPhone 18 Pro Max for himself. The two phones cost them more than ₹3.5 lakh in total. After purchasing the phones, they were scheduled to take an 11 am train back to Punjab.
