Actress Manisha Koirala made an emotional appeal for Nepal at the ‘In Solidarity with Nepal’ event, urging the international community not to let the country’s devastating floods overshadow its identity as a tourism destination.
She stressed that tourism is Nepal’s “lifeblood” and called for continued travel to support local communities and livelihoods affected by the disaster.
Koirala also highlighted the impact of climate change and glacial changes in the Himalayan region, appealing to neighbouring countries, including India and China, to work together to address growing environmental challenges.
