Bollywood actress Preity Zinta was left waiting for a glimpse of the moon on Karwa Chauth as cloudy skies disrupted her celebrations in the United States.
Preity, who observed the fast for her husband Gene Goodenough’s long life, took to social media to ask whether the moon had disappeared and if anyone on the US East Coast had managed to spot it.
Her post quickly caught fans’ attention, with one user saying the moon was clearly visible around 8 PM on the East Coast. Another admirer complimented the actress, saying she herself was the moon.
While Karwa Chauth is being celebrated in India on October 29, Preity observed the festival on October 28 in the US due to the time difference.
