Kerala footballer Muhammed Riswan among two Indians to win Instagram Rings Award this year

Kerala-based freestyle footballer Muhammed Riswan has been named one of the 25 global winners of Instagram’s Rings Award, becoming one of only two Indians to receive the honour this year. The other Indian winner is Chanel model Bhavitha Mandava.

The annual award recognises creators for their originality, creativity and ability to bring people together, irrespective of their follower count. Riswan shot to fame in November 2023 after posting a Reel showing him kicking a football into the Keralamkundu Waterfall in Malappuram.

The video garnered over 600 million views and later earned him recognition from Guinness World Records in January 2024.
