Ranbir Kapoor Apologizes for “Slip of tongue” at Ramayana Chennai Event!

Ranbir Kapoor Apologizes On His Own For Slip Of Tongue At Ramayana Event, Says – ‘Jo Bhi Main Kehna Chahu, Barbaad Kare Alfaaz Mere’

During a Dussehra event for ‘Ramayana’ in Kolkata on Oct 20, Ranbir Kapoor made a slip of tongue. He said, “Dussehra reminds us that no matter how powerful evil is, in the end it will be the end of truth and goodness” – he mistakenly used the word ‘Anth’ (end) instead of ‘Jeet’ (victory).

The video went viral and he was heavily trolled for it, especially since he is playing Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s mega-budget film.

On Oct 21, at the grand music and full album launch event at Chennai Trade Center, Ranbir apologized openly on stage. He said, “My tongue slipped. I actually wanted to say that no matter how powerful evil is, in the end victory will be of truth and goodness.”

To lighten the mood, he quoted a line from his film Rockstar with AR Rahman: “Jo bhi main kehna chahu, barbaad kare alfaaz mere” and sincerely apologized.

His film ‘Ramayana Part 1’ starring him as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravan, is set to release on Diwali, Nov 5, this year.
