Trump hints at fresh military strike: Iran threatens to cut undersea cables in Gulf

US President Donald Trump has warned of possible fresh military action against Iran, raising fears of renewed conflict in the Middle East. Speaking at a rally in Florida, Trump suggested Washington could launch another operation similar to its earlier military campaign, Operation Epic Fury.

Meanwhile, Iran has reportedly prepared plans to target undersea internet cables in the Gulf if the United States and Israel resume attacks. According to Reuters, two senior Iranian security officials warned that Tehran could disrupt critical communications infrastructure and prevent repairs to prolong outages.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have also identified seven major internet cables beneath the Strait of Hormuz as potential targets. Experts warn that attacks on these cables could disrupt regional internet connectivity, financial transactions and cloud services.
