The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered status quo in the dispute over late actress Sridevi’s Chennai property near East Coast Road and issued notices to Boney Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.
A bench of Justices K V Viswanathan and Arun Palli directed parties to maintain restrictions on transfer, construction and possession changes till the next hearing on December 18. The bench also suggested mediation to resolve the long-running dispute over the 1988 sale deeds.
The plea was filed by M C Sivakami and M C Natarajan seeking revival of a suit claiming rights over the property.
