Yogi Govt’s Big Initiative: Mental Health Support Cells to be Set Up for Students!

The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is set to introduce a uniform ‘Student Mental Health and Welfare Policy’ across all universities and colleges in the state.Under the new policy, every higher education institution will have a dedicated Mental Health Support Cell where students can access counselling in a safe and confidential environment.

If needed, students will be connected with professional counsellors, psychologists and other experts.The government also plans to develop an online mental health portal for early screening and primary support.The move aims to strengthen the mental well-being of students across Uttar Pradesh.
