The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone has officially felicitated and rewarded the Srinagar Police team for their exemplary professionalism in busting a major inter-state narcotics network.
Led by SSP Srinagar Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, the police team was commended for their sustained investigative efforts that led to the dismantling of the syndicate operating out of downtown Srinagar.
The high-profile crackdown previously resulted in the arrest of eight individuals, alongside the massive seizure of over 2.19 lakh banned pharmaceutical tablets, codeine liquid, heroin, and nearly Rs 85.75 lakh in cash. Senior officials encouraged the force to maintain unrelenting pressure against organized crime syndicates and drug trafficking networks in the region.
