Playback singer Sona Mohapatra on Oct 13 asked LoP Rahul Gandhi to focus on Himachal Pradesh. Tagging him on X, she wrote she returned after 9 years and was shocked by garbage-strewn hills and choking rivers. “Before repairing democracy, could you start by repairing Himachal Pradesh? Make this Congress-governed state a model of governance. Earn the people’s mandate, don’t just demand it,” she posted.
Her remark came a day after Rahul Gandhi led a protest march to Supreme Court over alleged irregularities in electoral system and SIR of voter rolls. Opposition is demanding resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar, protests entered Day 4 in Delhi. EC and BJP denied manipulation claims.
