Filmmaker Kiran Rao reacted to the notice directing actor Imran Khan to leave India by October 28, asking, “Wah, now it’s Mumbai Police?” She also highlighted the actor’s long association with India, saying he had studied, worked, succeeded, failed, loved and fought here.
Imran Khan, who holds US citizenship and an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card, received the notice after participating in a protest organised by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. His legal team has said he plans to challenge the notice in the Bombay High Court.
