Tragedy at MVSR Engineering College, Hyderabad — a lighting structure collapsed during a Dandiya event on Saturday evening around 7:30 pm.
First-year EEE student Sona Narayan Das died after sustaining serious injuries, rushed to private hospital but could not survive. 14 others injured, including her sister Meena, who was reported critical.
Police say remaining injured are out of danger. CM Revanth Reddy expressed shock, offered condolences, directed best medical care for injured and strict action against those responsible.
