Boxing champion Mary Kom faced online criticism after a clip from Bigg Boss 20 went viral where she compared her achievements to other Indian sportswomen.During a chat, contestant Qazi Touqeer said, “Sania Mirza also did great, Sania Nehwal.”
Mary Kom interrupted saying, “Lekin mere jaisa koi achieve nahi kiya.”As criticism grew on X and Instagram, Team Mary Kom issued an apology: “We apologise if Mary’s words were misunderstood.
There was never any intention to demean or compare… Every achievement matters, and every medal makes India proud.”This is her second controversy this year after remarks on her divorce in February.
