A poster war has erupted in Indore ahead of Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ student interaction programme. Posters carrying the slogan ‘Jhooth Ki Goonj’ and the message “Truth will triumph over the echo of lies” appeared at several locations, including Geeta Bhavan, Palasia, Vijay Nagar and Bhanwarkuan. Congress workers were seen removing some of the posters.
The posters have triggered a political war of words. Congress has alleged that the BJP put them up to create obstacles for Gandhi’s programme, while the BJP has rejected the charge and said students themselves launched the campaign to eRaxpress their views. Gandhi is scheduled to interact with students in Indore on Saturday evening as part of the Congress-led outreach programme.
