Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple, Mount Abu, Rajasthan

It is famous as the only temple in the world where devotees worship a natural, toe-shaped impression of Shiva’s right foot instead of a conventional idol or standard lingam.
Legend says that the great toe of Shiva anchors the Aravalli hills here, and if it moves or disappears, the mountains will collapse.
The sanctum contains a natural underground pit or crater that appears endless; pouring water into it never fills it up.
The Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple is an ancient Shiva shrine located 11 km north of Mount Abu, just outside the historic Achalgarh Fort in Rajasthan.
The temple houses a striking 4-tonne metal statue of Nandi (the sacred bull) made from five metals (panchaloha).
