Bihar MLA and singer Maithili Thakur faced social media trolling after she was seen arriving at Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja in a chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Questions were raised online about the luxury car, although its ownership has not been independently confirmed.
Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut came out in Maithili’s support, questioning why politicians should be expected to live modestly despite having their own careers and sources of income. “Why can’t we also live well?” Kangana wrote on Instagram, while defending the young MLA against the online backlash.
